Champions!

Bri and Bella's team the Warriors, won there division in softball and also the final championship game last night.
There record was 12-1. They lost there very first game and then that was it the rest of the season they won every game after. That's pretty daggone good. It was a fun season watching them play and it was great having them on the same team. Bri usually played 3rd base and Bella split between catching and right field. Now it's on to summer basketball.

vacation............

Hello friends! Welcome to my new private blog.
This past week we were on vacation. Our annual vacation to the mountains with my whole family and a few friends that are like family. About 20 in all.
We had a nice relaxing time as usual. Weather was good all though a little chilly at times but that felt good. We did the usual things swimming, fishing, walks, eat, badmitton, campfires, eat, deer spotting, play cards, eat, shop, tell stories, watch for bears, read, made soft pretzels, paint balling, sleep, and did I say eat? Edwin, and Colin saw a bear but the rest did not. We saw a porcuppine up in a tree that was cool, saw some deer and of course the cute little chip monks. Saw a snake the one day at the swimming hole as well as that ugly spider in the video. Did you see all the tad poles in the video? I have never seen so many tad poles in my life. There was hundreds maybe in thousands.
The frogs were definately busy. Jerry took his cycle and was kind to let the men that knew how to ride take it out for a cruise. Edwin took me out for a ride it was nice. Rico loves riding he laughs when he's on the cycle. There is a paint ball place not to far from the cabin that the guys like to go to and shoot each other. Hey they are boys! And they also went into the woods at the cabin to play as well. So until it rains you will see splashes of pink, orange and green on many a tree in the woods. Thanks to mom and dad for providing a cheap and very fun vacation for us since before I was married. It's been more then 20 years that we have been going to my dad's hunting cabin (not really his part owner along with many others).
But now we are back so let the summer vacation officially begin. Already I here the kids behind causing a rukus and getting on each others nerves including mine. =) It's always a challenge to keep these kids occupied over the summer. Alright that's all for now. I can't concentrate.

Graduation ceremony.

Here's Noah he looks good in blue doesn't he? It was an interesting graduation ceremony to the say the least. All around the county schools were changing there plans to have there graduation ceremony's from outside to inside. All but one that is. I guess our school decided that we could beat the odds and make it through our ceremony before it stormed. The weather did not hold out and about half way through the sky turned dark. Lightning began to flash behind the graduation podium so whoever was speaking could not see the flashes but could here every one going ohhhhhh each time a flash would occur. We were sitting on the metal bleachers. Not a good place to be when lightning is happening. But we prevailed cause after all you want to see your son graduate. But little by little people were making there way off the bleachers to the grass. Finally Noah got his diploma and he was near the end so shortly after it was all over. With a turn of the tastle from one side to the other Noah was a graduate. I had to learn a lesson again in haveing unmet expectations. The evening did not turn out at all like I had hoped it would. Laying in bed that night I had to repent of some bad attitudes through out the evening. All week I had been close to tears at different times but low and behold not a single tear was shed throughout the ceremony. Anyway it's over and my son is on his way to the next chapter in his life. He's happy to have his diploma and to be done with high school.
One thing you should know is that Noah was on the honor roll and sometimes high honor roll throughout his four years of high school.

911 rescue..........

Tonight I went outside to water my plants getting ready for the hot day tomorrow. I was watering my ferns on my porch when I heard a commotion as well as some movement coming from my fern. I noticed something fall out of the fern. Here there is a nest in my fern and indeed a little birdie fell out of the nest. Well I guess I had sprayed the birdies pretty good and they let me know they were upset. I was like what to do what to do the birdie must get back in the nest.
So I found a little box to pick up the wayward birdie. I got the birdie into the box and went to put it back in the nest.
Well, I guess little birdie wanted to feel his oats (where in the world did that expression come from) cause when I went to put him in the nest again he fluttered right out again. Meanwhile the whole family is getting in on the act. Noah checked out the situation as well as Bri and even Edwin's dad put in his two cents he's here visiting from Florida came to see his grandson graduate(Noah). Edwin came out and after deciding I wasn't getting the birdie in correctly tried his hand at getting the bird in the nest. Well he got the bird in and then both birds hopped out. Yup one landed on the porch and the other on the sidewalk. Goodness here let me try again. I put them in again and again they fluttered out. Someone is going to break something here in a minute with all this falling going on. Anyway I left the birds settle for a bit and then I tried one more time. Notice my gloved hand, tissue box, flashlight technique. It worked as far as I can tell the birds are in there nest. I quickly left so I wouldn't see if they fell out again so I wouldn't feel responsible. I'm happy with my thoughts of them sleeping snuggly in there damp nest. Sorry birdies I had to water my fern. The End.

Okay so Brianna was the only Miranda representing in the mile race this year. She did really well. Not sure what her official time is yet. It was a rainy kind of day as most of you reading this blog know but God was kind and stopped the rain for the race. A fun time was still had by all that I saw. The Sunday after church picnics have begun. This year I need to take desserts. Not my favorite thing to bring I don't really like baking so much. Last year was good I got to bring salads. But I'll give my hand a whirl at the desserts. And let's here it for the 25th anniversary of our church.
