Baltimore Inner Harbor

The next day after the wedding.  Eric, Joanne and Edwin and I went to the Inner Harbor for a lovely day of sight seeing.  We had a great time just walking around and taking in everything.  We took a water taxi which was fun.  Had lunch at a place famous for there pizza called BOP pizza.  But Edwin and I didn't have pizza instead we had cheese steak wraps which were really good.  It was great to get away for an overnight-er with our great friends.

 Love this couple to pieces...
Me and my man...

We were so privileged to be able to celebrate the marriage of Jeremy & Marsha with Dale and Carol Landis.
It was a simple but beautiful wedding and reception.  We had such a good time dancing and chatting the night away.  The weather was just perfect making everything that much more special. The food was delicious.  Congratulations to the happy couple.

Endoscopy...

Rico has been having problems with his stomach for a while now after the blood work and cat scan showed up negative for any problems the next step in determining what is going on was an endoscopy. As you can see Rico wasn't to thrilled about it. My good friend Phyllis who works at the hospital came to visit while there and brought Rico the cute dog. So sweet of her. The endoscopy showed nothing we didn't already know which is he has celiac disease. So we continue to see a gastro dr. trying to figure out what is happening. We wait and pray for Rico to feel better soon.

Conestoga House

My care group ladies minus Lynn and Karen had dinner at the Conestoga House.  It was a beautiful evening.  It was so lovely to enjoy our meal amongst such a granduer setting.  Later we walked the grounds and oh and ahhed how beautiful everything was.  It was a wonderful evening even though we got in trouble a little bit.  Yup, that's how we roll.  We are TROUBLE!  =)

Lapp/Melllinger picnic 7/10/11

Got together with the Lapp's and the Mellingers for our annual picnic.  We normally have a picnic plus play baseball but the baseball didn't happen this year most likely because my aunt and uncle moved from there home which is wear we normally had the picnic and the ball field was right next to there house.  We could have easily walked down to the ball diamond but I think we were all feeling a bit lazy.  Plus it was very relaxing at my Mom's home.  The younger ones did play some volley ball.  The big excitement of the night was people getting bit by bumble bees.  About three people had a run in with the nasty offenders.  Josiah got bit 3 times.  Edwin got bit on the eyelid and Rico got bit on the arm.  He wasn't to happy about that.  But that makes for memories.  I think everyone had a really nice time and it's always good to be together with family.

A night at the Fulton Opera

On Saturday night Edwin and I went to the Fulton Opera House to see Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. What a lovely time. The show was done really well. Before the show we went to the Prince St. Cafe for a light dinner. Edwin got the tickets from a board member of the Opera House for a job he had done for her. How nice that was. And while at the cafe I remembered I had a gift card for there. Pretty sweet deal for a very low cost evening.

coffee on the porch

Friday morning I had a little spontaneous coffee break with
3 of my good friends. Lori, Carol and Joanne. It was a nice
little treat. I made them breakfast first and then headed
to the porch for coffee. Lori and Carol had a late start to there
cleaning job. But I think it was worth it. And well Joanne ended
up staying till 2.....haha love it.

Rico going to work....

Got to get a little yawn in first.

Now we are ready.

In he goes to start his day.

Over the summer Rico works Tuesdays and Wednesdays. When school is in session he works @ Goodwill Monday thru Thursday.
He seems to like it. It provides him with a little cash for the things he likes to do.

Flowers at Tudbinks

Today Bella and I went to Tudbinks.  They are having a 2 for one sale and there veggie plants are all free. How bout that!  The only veggie I needed they didn't have. Zucchini.  Mine died while on vacation. I can't believe how much stuff Tudbinks still has.  I don't know what they do with it all.  I bought some flowers to replace the ones that got something and looked horrible.  I was happy to find some really nice looking flowers. Got them all planted tonight.  Anyway that's it.

feeling better and stuff........

I am feeling much better my ear is still a bit closed and hopefully that will clear up very soon.  We are in the midst of a 2 sport season.  Last night Edwin went to Bri's meet against CV @ home we lost. But Bri had a good first meet.  Came in second in the long jump. This is her first year for the jump so great start.  She ran the 400 and the 800 but I'm not sure where she placed.  I went to Bella's game against Warwick.  We lost and ohhhh was it cold.  I can't wait for some wonderful warmness to come our way.
Today I go to work early to make rice for about 1000 hungry teens.  Blessings to your day!

all stuffed up......

I've had a cold, cough, stuffy head for I don't know how long now.  My main problem is my ears are closed.
it really makes me nuts not to be able to here well.  Yesterday I didn't even hear my alarm go off.  Now that's unusual for me.  At the advice from a co-worker I am taking Claritin D.  Third day on it not much change.  I keep waiting to here those crackly noises in your ear when things start opening up.  I'm scheduled to sing on Sunday not sure if I will be able to.  But I'm not ready to call in the reinforcements just yet.  Track meets will be starting next week for Bri.  And Bella is already having softball scrimmages.  Looking forward to watching them both.  Edwin found a car for Noah.  Noah's car is not worth fixing anymore so it was time for another one.  He has a nice smaller med. size car now. It's an Olds Alero burgundy color.  He'll have to get the sticker off that's on the back window though.  It says Carolina girl.  Hehe!  Rico is turned into the hugging maniac.  If you thought he hugged a lot before it's so much more now.  He hugs me long.  It's a nice hug though although most times I have to say okay Rico that's enough.  Next hug I'm going to let him hug me as long as he wants and time it.  My sweet Rico.

Christ Is Risen By Matt Maher with lyrics

a little r&r

Just got back from a little time away at a ladies only care group retreat.  Our care group (the sensenigs) and the Minich care group got together Friday to Saturday at a beautiful cabin in the mountains.  We played games, made candles, had an extended quiet time, and ate.  A big thank you to Sue and Karla for taking such good care of us while we were there.  It was so good to connect with ladies I haven't got to talk with for a while and also to meet two wonderful ladies Krista and Kate.  It did my heart good to have some time away with a great group of ladies.  As we shared around the dinner table what God had spoke to us or what had been a highlight for each lady while there it was so good to hear of God's great grace revealed to each woman there.  I wish I had pictures to share but I forgot my camera.
